Large Footed IRONWOOD GOURMET Acacia Wood Cutting Board The cutting board is staved lengthwise for stability - 3 pieces glued together Measurements: 22 inches long; 15 inches wide; 2+1/4 inches high The board weighs over 9 pounds. Each of the 4 feet have applied rubber pads. The board accommodates a "hold down" for cutting meat. Either the hold down was available separately or if the board came with a hold down the hold down is missing. To adequately and safely package the cutting board "Calculate shipping" is based on an 12-pound parcel (estimated parcel size 24" x 17" x 4") Acacia wood: Acacia wood is 55% harder than European oak; 23% harder than hickory, and 90% harder than bamboo. Acacia wood is water proof and used for flooring, cutting boards, and other wood items. Because acacia wood is waterproof it doesn't absorb moisture and won't be susceptible to mold and bacteria. As a cutting board it requires hand washing with soapy water and hand or air dried. After each cleaning protect the board with a proper preservative - food grade mineral oil designed for cutting boards. Store the board in a cool dry location when not in use.
