Lemco Center Conductor Cleaner
The fastest and safest way to remove dielectric from coax cable of all sizes. The Y-190 from Lemco features a plated handle made of spring steel, covered with a comfortable plastic coating. Scrapers have four working surfaces and can be sharpened with a fine file. Directions for use: Close the plastic scrapers over the center conductor. Pull to remove the dielectric. Depending on the adhesive, rubbing with scrapers may be required. Initial quick chip-out of the scrapers will slow. The chipped scrapers enhance the cleaning action. Excessively worn scrapers may become out of alignment with each other which may cause the tool to curl the conductor. Sharpen the scrapers with a fine file or replace with Lemco No. 582 Scraper set (1 replacement set included). Warning: Scrapers handmade of circuit board or other hard materials may fracture the bond of copper to the aluminum conductor and compromise the electrical characteristics of the cable.
